SGA Committees

Campus Activities Board:

The Campus Activities Board works in collaboration with the Office of Student Engagement in regards to selecting and running activities. The board also encourages student participation of campus events by way of advertising and promoting the events. The board also utilizes money from the SGA and Student Activity Fee Board for events. Students active in this committee also have the opportunity to attend programming conferences.

Entertainment and Fundraising:

The Entertainment/Fundraising Committee organizes an array of events sponsored by SGA, including the End of the Year Leadership Banquet that recognizes all of the clubs and organizations efforts throughout the year. This group is also responsible for organizing the annual Breakfast with Santa. This committee also puts together fundraising efforts on behalf of the SGA.

THON:

The THON Committee plans fundraisers and selects dancers to attend the IFC Panhellenic Dance Marathon at University Park every February. THON is the largest student-run philanthropy in the world! The Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon, affectionately referred to as THON, is a yearlong effort to raise funds and awareness for the fight against pediatric cancer. Since 1977, THON has raised more than $127 million for The Four Diamonds Fund at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital. Visit http://thon.org for more information.
